Empowering Talent and Promoting Health (SDG 3, 4, 10)
Monarkhia Academy is introducing non-dominant sports to INK local schools, starting with soccer and netball and expanding to include hockey and chess. By specializing in soccer, chess, hockey, tennis, and athletics, we aim to create more opportunities for children to develop their skills and pursue athletic careers. This initiative promotes healthy lifestyles (SDG 3), provides quality education in sports (SDG 4), and ensures equal access to sports for all (SDG 10).
Cultivating Creative Skills and Industry Exposure (SDG 4, 8)
Through film exhibitions, we introduce township children to the film industry and its vast career possibilities. As part of our mission to cultivate talent, we plan to launch drama and music programs, allowing children to discover their creative potential. These initiatives provide quality artistic education (SDG 4) and open pathways to decent work and economic growth in the creative sector (SDG 8).
Supporting Education and Future Opportunities (SDG 4, 9)
We organize career exhibitions and assist Grade 12 students with university applications, teaching them to leverage smartphones effectively for academic purposes. Along with offering academic support and mentorship, we aim to help students excel and secure higher education. By doing so, we contribute to providing inclusive and equitable quality education (SDG 4) and fostering innovation and infrastructure development (SDG 9).
Driving Economic Growth and Empowerment (SDG 8, 9)
Through our sister company, Monarkhia Corporate Momentum (Pty) Ltd, we help small and medium-sized business owners grow their ventures. Offering coaching, mentorship, and practical business support, we empower entrepreneurs to contribute to local economic development. These efforts promote sustainable economic growth (SDG 8), foster innovation, and support resilient infrastructure development (SDG 9).
President
Samkelisiwe Dlamini
Samkelisiwe Dlamini was born in Durban and raised in Hammersdale, KwaZulu-Natal. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science and Honours degrees in Clinical Sociology and Psychology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, equipping her with a strong interdisciplinary understanding of human behaviour, mental health, and community development.
She has experience in providing academic and developmental support to children with special needs, with a particular focus on inclusive education, learner wellbeing, and holistic development. Her work reflects a deep commitment to nurturing young people academically, socially, and emotionally.
Her leadership experience includes serving as a Social Events Coordinator for the Student Christian Fellowship (SCF) at UKZN and volunteering as a Mental Health Coach with Mental Health for Learners (MHFL), supporting student wellbeing initiatives.
As President of Monarkhia Academy, Samkelisiwe provides strategic leadership and direction, championing youth development, inclusivity, and community empowerment while upholding ethical governance and collaborative leadership to drive sustainable social impact.
